How much time does it take for the T-virus to take effect?

I've been re-watching all 3 movies (because my uncle borrowed the 4th
one) of the Resident Evil series and, well, I've always been
wondering... How long DOES the T-virus take effect-as in, How low does
it take before you turn into a "zombie"?
