France's Synergy nabs 'Iron Sky'

LONDON -- Synergy Cinema has clicked on up French rights to "Iron Sky," from helmer Timo Vuorensola. Pic, that's being looked within the American Film Market by Stealth Media Group, sees the Nazis setup a secret base round the moon in 1945, where they hideout and plan revisit energy in 2018. It stars Julia Dietze, Christopher Kirby and Gotz Otto. Pic has agreed to numerous areas including Blighty (Revolver), Nz and australia (Hoyts), Germany and Benelux (Splendid), China (E Stars) and Scandinavia (Buena Vista). It is also agreed to former Yugoslavia (Uncover Film), Taiwan (Cherry Sky), Czech and Slovak republics (Filmpark), Thailand (Media Film) and Romania (Programs4Media). Synergy, founded by former Gaumont professionals Yves Chevalier and Loic Trocme, clicked on up French rights in Santa Monica a couple of days ago. Stealth's slate includes Mark Pellington's "I Melt Together With You,Inch John McNaughton's "Shoedog" and Ash Baron Cohens' "Blind Bastard Club."
